Propose using a fruit label (No. 202)
Chris proposed to his fiancee-to-be Connie by incorporating Connie’s childhood hobby of collecting Chiquita banana stickers, which she share with her late mother.
When Chris and Connie returned from work, Chris mentioned to Connie that there was a different sticker on the bananas we had just purchased.
Connie went over and glanced at the sticker, which only a few letters were showing and she said that it looked like a new one.
Connie picked up the banana and, as she was doing this, Chris was waiting behind her on one knee with Connie’s engagement ring. Chris could tell when she read the words “Connie Will You Marry Me?” on the banana sticker because not only did she stop moving, Chris thought that she had stopped breathing too.
Connie turned and looked down at Chris and tears fell from her face as her hands shook.
Connie said yes! She later said that she would not have wanted the proposal in any other way.
